SACEM is the French non-profit, non-trading professional association representing and collecting music rights for artists, composers and music publishers.
SACEM (Société des auteurs, compositeurs et éditeurs de musique) is the French entity owned and managed by is members according to the business model of a cooperative. Sacem guarantees authors’ intellectual property by collecting and distributing royalties, since 1851. Every year, over a million works are registered with Sacem. The authors’ society’s mission is to collect and distribute royalties to rights holders, defending their rights and promoting creation.
