PRS for Music

PRS for Music Limited represents songwriters, composers and music publishers’ rights, as a British music copyright collective.

PRS for Music Limited is a collection of two societies: the Mechanical-Copyright Protection Society (MCPS) and the Performing Right Society (PRS). Their role is to protect performing rights, collect royalties on behalf of their members whenever their music is being broadcasted or performed publicly. PRS for Music Limited collects and pays royalties whenever its members’ music is being performed, broadcasted, downloaded, reproduced, or used in film and TV. PRS for Music Limited is also working to invest in innovative solutions to ensure their fitness for the digital age.
