GEMA (Gesellschaft für musikalische Aufführungs) is the Society for musical performing and mechanical rights production based in Germany and Brussels.

GEMA (Gesellschaft für musikalische Aufführungs) is a collective management organization, managing remuneration claims and entitlements of its members at a global level, wherever their musical works (which are copyright protected) are used and broadcasted. GEMA’s members are composers, lyricists and publishers for who the government-mandated collecting society and performance rights organization represents the usage rights stemming from authors’ rights (mechanical licensing, broadcast licensing, synchronization licensing).
